Snow-related delays are causing 3 hour-plus delays on flights arriving at all three New York City metro airports. La Guardia Airport, JFK Airport, and Newark Liberty Airport are all having flight delays. According to the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, which oversees all three airports, the average delay time at all three airports is between 2 hours and 45 minutes and 3 hours and 20 minutes on incoming flights. It’s recommended to contact airlines directly to check flight status. Airlines have cancelled thousands of flights throughout the northeast and midwest because of weather. According to FlightStats, almost 2,600 flights had been canceled as of 9:30 a.m. eastern time Wednesday. That follows almost 2,000 cancellations on Tuesday and an additional 2,500 on Monday.
